Unimed Race takes place in June

For those who are passionate about street racing, the 10th edition of the Unimed Santa Catarina Racing Circuit is taking place. The Greater Florianópolis edition will be in the city of São José, on June 23rd (Sunday), starting at 7 am, on the city’s seafront, and 2 thousand participants are expected. Open to beginners and experienced runners, the Unimed Racing Circuit will award mini trophies to the three best placed in 12 categories.

For the second year in a row, São José will host the event, which will have 5km and 10km courses in the women’s, men’s and parasports categories.

“Our aim is to bring health to different locations. We have already held stages in Florianópolis, where we were very well received and São José has proven to be an excellent destination for runners and for those who want to start the sport”, highlights the president of the medical cooperative, Dr. Jalmir Rogério Aust.

Registration and stages

Athletes receive kits to participate in the race and can opt for the complete T-shirt, backpack, wristband, a pair of socks, participation medal, chest numeral and pins) or the simple kit T-shirt, participation medal, chest numeral and pins.

Registration costs R$100 for the simple kit and R$130 for the complete kit, plus 1 liter of milk that will be destined for CUFA – Central Única das Favelas. Unimed customers, cooperative doctors and employees of the institution have a 50% discount. More information and registration on the website.

Mandala for 150 participants

A traditional item of the Circuit, the mandala allows the athlete to assemble it with the medals won in the races and will be offered to the first 150 athletes who complete six of the 17 stages. To win the mandala it is not necessary to run the events in sequence, and participation in six stages is mandatory.
