Researchers at William Paterson University, in the United States, conducted a study revealing the 41 foods considered the healthiest in the world. Among the first placed, green leafy vegetables stand out, such as watercress, chard and spinach. Although they did not appear at the top of the list, fruits received a mention.

The researchers analyzed the nutrient content of foods, evaluating the amount of vitamins, fiber and nutrients in each food in relation to calories. Essentially, the higher the nutrient content, the healthier the food.

Green vegetables dominated the top spots, with the healthiest fruits only making it into the top 30.

Among the fruits, the sour lemon was the main highlight.

Lemon appeared as the healthiest fruit, according to the analysis

Secondly, there are the strawberries, which offer 62 mg of vitamin C per 100 grams.

Surprisingly, strawberries surpass many citrus fruits in vitamin C content.

Closing the list, but no less relevant, we have the blackberriesa generous source of calcium, potassium and magnesium, in addition to containing iron and manganese in significant quantities.
