Comedian Toninho Tornado shared, on his Instagram profile, a legal note to inform his more than four million followers about the process of registering the term “Calabreso”. He stated, on Monday (22), that he reached an “amicable” agreement with Mani Reggo, former teammate of the champion of BBB 24David Brito.

In the note, the comedian provided more details about the registration of the term and revealed that he claimed authorship of “Calabreso” in 2018. The Maria Preta Institute, which is associated with Mani, filed a request to register the term “Calabreso” and “X-Calabreso” with the National Institute of Intellectual Property (Inpi) after Davi said “Calma, Calabreso”, on January 31 , for Lucas Buda on BBB 24 and went viral.

According to the document, the company Non Stop Produções, which manages Toninho, began monitoring the “Calabreso” brand after the term went viral on BBB. With the aim of “protecting the interests” of the agent, they initiated an internal process to formalize the name registration request.

On February 3, the company discovered that Instituto Maria Preta had already filed a patent application for the brand. Finally, the note signed by lawyer Caio Sanas stated that, after “friendly negotiations”, the body will withdraw the application for registration of the brands.
