Orange May, a month to combat the Abuse and Sexual Exploitation of Children and Adolescents, will be extensively implemented in Caucaia, through various municipal management bodies, coordinated by the UNICEF Seal team in the municipality. Activities in the areas of Education, Health, Social Development, Sports and Youth, among others, are part of the special program, involving civil servants and citizens, in a broad chain that aims to prevent this type of crime.

With the theme *”The game ends when fear begins”*, the objective is to raise awareness about the signs that children and adolescents who are victims of sexual violence show, often without even speaking.

Recreational activities, workshops, lectures are some of the activities that will be carried out. For Danyelle Alves, coordinator of the Unicef Seal in Caucaia, the search for multidisciplinary actions aims to gain capillarity and reach among the audiences to be reached. “As always, we are joining efforts from different municipal departments, such as Education, Health, Social Development, Sports and Youth, bringing this interdisciplinarity and seeking to expand the reach of both audiences and formats. This way, we guarantee that the message reaches the largest number of people as possible, which is our main objective”, said Danyelle Alves, coordinator of the UNICEF Seal.

Another publicity action with the theme of Maio Laranja is the partnership between the City of Caucaia and Multicine Cinemas, the company that operates the cinemas at Iandê Shopping. Throughout the month of May, everyone who buys a ticket for one of the films being shown will watch an institutional video produced by the City of Caucaia about Maio Laranja, which will be part of the trailers, prior to the films being played. Nycolas Brenner, manager of Multicine Cinemas, talks about what motivated the company to join the campaign: “Firstly, it is an incredible campaign. When the Caucaia City Council team approached us, I was very excited, and we have already started the approval procedures so that this broadcast could happen. Our expectation is the best possible in terms of raising people’s awareness, so that this message can be passed on and also debated”, he emphasizes.

“The entire UNICEF Seal team in Caucaia was very happy with this partnership. Thus, we will be reaching an audience that is not necessarily served by the municipal network, in its public services, and once again expanding the reach of our message”, concludes Danyelle.
