Giovanna Ewbank, 37 years old, made an appeal this Monday (6) asking for help to residents of Rio Grande do Sul who were affected by the floods. In Instagram Stories, the presenter said that she is isolated, as she was diagnosed with Covid-19, but found a way to help.
“I haven’t been around for a while, because I caught Covid, so I’ve been isolated in my room here in my house for a few days, but posting and seeing everything that’s been happening in Rio Grande do Sul. Sadness, insomnia, not knowing what to do, how to do it , helping with the donations that pass by without knowing exactly which one to help, anyway, but I think things are now starting to organize themselves better so that we understand where and how to help”, he commented.
According to the artist, what they need at the moment is a mattress, hygiene items, ready-made food (canned goods), water and clothes and an airline has made a solidarity plane available to take the donations that she and other people make.
The artist, who is married to Bruno Gagliasso, said that she has already shared some NGOs she trusts and spoke about the work of Gabriella Bordasch, who is the sister of a friend of hers. “She’s there, whoever wants to follow her day to day life. She’s helping as a volunteer and she’s also raising money and putting expense to expense of what’s being done,” said Giovanna, who warned her followers to only donate to places 100% reliable.
