Unlike the lyrics of his hit ‘O Calhambeque’, singer Roberto Carlos, 83, can’t live without his ‘cracker to run’. On the afternoon of this Thursday, the 25th, the ‘King’ was seen on the streets of Rio de Janeiro driving a powerful Audi R8 Spyder convertible, valued at no less than R$1.5 million.

The recording took place on the streets of Urca, in the South Zone of Rio, where the singer and icon of Jovem Guarda lives. The car, by the way, is the same one that let Roberto Carlos down in 2021, when he ran out of fuel on the way to rehearsal for his end-of-year special.

Roberto Carlos, who was due to perform at the Pacaembu Stadium, in São Paulo, last Friday, the 19th, had his performance canceled by City Hall, which claimed there was a ‘series of irregularities that put public safety at risk’.

The cancellation took fans of the ‘King’ by surprise who, unaware, were informed of the cancellation right at the stadium’s entrance. “I think it’s a huge lack of respect. With so many forms of communication that exist today, the company doesn’t warn anything… It’s unpleasant,” said a fan.
