The youngest billionaire in the world is Brazilian. According to the Forbes, 19-year-old Livia Voigt tops this list. She accumulates a fortune of US$1.1 billion – around R$5.5 billion -, the result of his minority stake in the industrial machinery multinational Weg, co-founded by his late grandfather, Werner Ricardo Voigt.
Currently, the young woman is studying psychology at a university. Her older sister, Dora Voigt de Assis, 26, also appears on the list of the 10 youngest billionaires in the world with a similar fortune. Both have 3.1% of the company, which is one of the largest manufacturers of electric motors in the world.
For the first time, all the billionaires on the list, under the age of 30, are heirs. The richest among them are the Mistry brothers from Ireland, aged 25 and 27. They have around US$4.9 billion (R$24.7 billion) each, coming from minority stakes in the IT and communications company Tata Sons, after the death of their father, Cyrus Mistry.
Still according to the ranking of Forbes, the majority of the youngest billionaires are from Europe: 15. The other 10 are from Brazil, South Korea, Hong Kong, Japan and the United States.
