Singer Guilherme Arantes wrote a humorous text

Singer and composer Guilherme Arantes, one of the country’s biggest hitmakers, wrote a chronicle this Easter Sunday to answer the questions he claims to hear on flights and airports. Guilherme cited four of them, the most common, according to him: “aren’t you dead?”, “aren’t you Léo Jaime?”, “are you still a singer, do you make music?”, “you’re not strange to me, who are you ?”.
In the text published on Facebook, the singer tried to answer each of them, always in a humorous and reflective way.
“Whether I died or not is a great question! Congratulations! Because we are dying every day, and the Guilherme that I was, that I was, has probably already ‘died’ lightly, at least 20 times, It depends on which period of reference we are talking about. I’m glad that’s the case”, he replied, regarding the first and most cruel doubt.
Regarding being confused with Léo Jaime, Guilherme said that it doesn’t bother him much, but he confesses that he doesn’t have the same skill as his generational colleague. “He is a singer with a pleasant voice and a beloved figure of our wonderful generation, of which I am very proud to belong…However, among my talents, I do not include Dance, Ballet, unfortunately. I would like to…”.
Guilherme stated that, yes, he still makes music – and shows – and reflected on the music market, which always favors those who are successful over other artists. The singer knows what he is saying, as he has scored countless hits over almost 50 years of career, among them, My World and Nothing More, Planet Water, Let It Rain It is Full of charm.

Regarding the fourth question, when someone knows that he is famous, but doesn’t connect the name to the person, Guilherme gave his best answer:

Recently, at a show in São Paulo, Guilherme commented on the fact that he was excluded from music festivals. “My music is not suitable for playing in the Rock in Rio food court. But, that’s okay,” he said.
With a busy show schedule, Guilherme is preparing an album with new compositions and, in recent years, he has written songs for the singers Gal Costa It is Alaide Costa. In 2021, he released his most recent album, The Templar Disorderwork that he defined as “baroque”.
