The IRS will begin paying the 1st batch of Income Tax refund this May. Deposits will be made directly to the accounts informed when submitting the declaration. Here’s how to find out when you’ll get paid.
In total, the Revenue will pay 5 regular lots and another 5 residuals, which 1st batch of Income Tax Refund will be deposited this May. The rest go until February 2025. The refund is only paid to taxpayers who paid more taxes than they should.
When will the 1st batch of the 2024 refund be paid?
- According to the Federal Revenue, the first batch will be deposited on May 31st, same closing date as the deadline for submitting the declaration.
- The expectation is that consultation with eligible taxpayers will be made available one week before that date.
- Even before opening this query, you can check the priority order of payments:
- Taxpayers aged 80 or over;
- Taxpayers aged 60 or over, people with disabilities or serious illnesses;
- Taxpayers whose largest source of income is teaching;
- Whoever used the pre-filled form or chose to receive the refund via pix;
- Other contributors.
