Investing.com – Economists maintained most indicator estimates, but raised Selic projections for 2026, as released by the Central Bank this Tuesday, 30.

Inflation
Economists consulted by the BC maintained the projection for the Broad Consumer Price Index (IPCA) for 2024 at 3.73%. The center of the target is 3%, with a 1.5 percentage point limit for more or less. Estimates for 2025 remained at 3.60% and those for 2026 were maintained at 3.50%.
Selic
Economists maintained their expectation for the basic Selic interest rate in 2024 at 9.5%, while that in 2025 remained at 9%. However, that of 2026 increased from 8.5% to 8.63%.
GDP
Economists also continued with the projection of the Brazilian economy measured by the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) in 2024 of 2.02%. Estimates for 2025 and 2026 were maintained at 2%.
Dollar
In relation to the dollar, bets for 2024 remain at R$5. For 2025, the projection remains at R$5.05, while that for 2026 is still R$5.10.
