Generation Z spends less time socializing due to the use of cell phones and social networks. In the US, for example, Gen Z Americans were among their peers for 38 minutes a day, while millennials in the same age group spent almost an hour, according to Haidt.

Right or privilege to work? The work relationship of Generation Z is different from that of millennials. While for younger people, work is considered a right. For the previous generation, it is a privilege to have a job.

One of the signs of how this younger generation copes differently is the so-called “quiet quitting” (discreet resignation, in free translation), when a person does enough to not be fired. Leaving work is not a problem

The unemployment rate among Generation Z and millennials is lower. The previous generation, when they started working, faced a scenario of financial crisis. This newer one has a more favorable scenario.

Young people from Generation Z are avoiding the humanities area. Based on a survey carried out in the United Kingdom and the United States, the report mentions that this public seeks areas more linked to economics and engineering. As these are restricted areas, they can leave work if they feel uncomfortable by something.

They earn more, but not everything is rosy. In the USA, a 25-year-old zoomer has an annual household income of more than US$40,000 (more than R$200,000) – 50% higher than baby boomers (generation born between 1945 and 1964), according to a survey carried out by Kevin Corinth and Jeff Larrmore, from the Federal Reserve (the US Central Bank). However, rising inflation erodes the purchasing power of this public, with higher prices for education and housing.
