Brazil is once again considered one of the most attractive countries for foreign investment. According to the Confidence Index for Foreign Direct Investment, carried out annually by the consultancy Kearney, the country occupies 19th position among the 25 prominent nations. In 2022, Brazil was in 22nd place. In 2023, it was left off the list.
The research that underpins the index was carried out in January this year. Interviews were carried out with executives from companies, based in 30 countries and from different sectors, with annual revenues starting at US$500 million (R$2.5 billion).
During the questionnaire, they answer about the probability of their companies making direct investments in the next three years in a country. This is how countries’ attractiveness indices are calculated.
The ranking is led by the United States, which occupies first place for the 12th consecutive year.
