United States Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin announced on Friday (April 26, 2024) that the country will supply Patriot missiles for Ukraine’s air defense system, as an additional part of the US$6 billion aid package. .

The supplied armaments will be used to replenish previously supplied Patriot air defense systems. The package also includes ammunition from the National Advanced Anti-Aircraft Missile Systems (Nasams).
