Another Globo reporter had to deal with insults and demonstrations against his work, live. This time it was Arildo Palermo, a journalist from RBS, the broadcaster’s affiliate in Rio Grande do Sul. During a live broadcast on Jornal da Globo, a man started shouting at the channel.

“You people from Globo are no good, a disservice to Globo. Media lies,” said the man shouting in the background from where Palermo was passing out the information. “Tempers are high here,” said the professional, still trying to continue with the news.
Arildo showed medical tents ready to receive people in Porto Alegre. “We are receiving some demonstrations”, continued the reporter in the middle of his explanation. He was even left to William Bonner.
“William Bonner, you no longer have authority here in Porto Alegre”, shouted the man, at the moment when Palermo decided to return it to Renata Lo Prete in the studios because he was unable to complete the reasoning. “I’ll need to come back with you. We’ll talk in a little while”, he amended.
Previously, Bonner had already suffered attacks from another man who criticized the fact that the broadcaster had been slow to arrive and had, in theory, preferred to show Madonna’s show rather than reports about the floods in Rio Grande do Sul.
Another case happened on CNN Brasil, when a volunteer wearing a first aid vest said during the live broadcast: “Globo is rubbish and Lula out.”
