Globo has set the premiere date for its new reality show, Estrela da Casa, the broadcaster’s main bet for the second half of the year. The production, which will be led by ex-BBB Ana Clara Lima, has already defined the date of its final.
According to a document sent to the advertising market and obtained by F5, the attraction opens on August 13th, a Tuesday, right after “Renascer”. The reality show will occupy the space left by the Paris Olympic Games in the programming, which will end on the 11th.
The Estrela da Casa final also has a set date: it will be on October 1st, also a Tuesday. Just like on BBB, Tuesday nights will be dedicated to eliminations and, therefore, will be one of the most important days for the program’s dynamics.
In total, Estrela da Casa will be on air for 50 days. The reality show is in the final phase of defining its cast, internally called “electric chair”, when the production interviews candidates to find out if they are ready to join the attraction.
The main curiosity of the format will be how the winner will be discovered. The contestant will need to devise strategies for releasing singles and planning their own career, all while exposing their vulnerabilities and facing different challenges of coexistence in pursuit of their dream.
The program will have a popular vote. Globo’s idea is for viewers to choose a new artist not only because of their vocal talent, but also by getting to know their personality, their courage, their fears and uncertainties, mistakes and successes even better.
For the competitors, every day of the week matters. After all, the longer they stay in the game, the more visibility they will give their work on the country’s largest broadcaster.
