When does the 2nd season of Wandinha premiere?
Many expected that the second part of Wandinha would arrive on Netflix in the first half of 2024. However, due to strikes by Hollywood writers and artists, the series’ schedule was delayed. In November 2023, however, it was confirmed that the work would begin filming in April 2024. In other words, it is already happening.
It is worth mentioning that the official premiere date has not yet been revealed by Netflix, but it is expected that the new year of Wandinha be released in the second half of 2024 or early 2025.
Wandinha: cast of the 2nd season of the series
The return of Wandinha will feature major changes to its cast. According to Deadline, three central actors from the initial season will not return as regulars. They are: Percy Hynes White (Xavier Thorpe), Jamie McShane (Sheriff Donovan Galpin) and Naomi J Ogawa (Yoko Tanaka). On the other hand, actress Luyanda Unati Lewis-Nyawo, who plays Ritchie Santiago, should gain more prominence.
The team of actors and actresses who return for the 2nd season of Wandinhatherefore, it looked like this: Jenna Ortega (Wandinha), Emma Myers (Enid), Joy Sunday (Bianca), Doohan (Tyler), Victor Dorobantu (Thing), Moosa Mostafa (Eugene) and Georgie Farmer (Ajax).
New names: Steve Buscemi (Barry Dort), Billie Piper (Capri), Evie Templeton, Owen Painter and Noah Taylor. Catherine Zeta-Jones (Morticia Addams), Luis Guzmán (Gomez Addams), Isaac Ordonez (Pugsley Addams) and Lewis-Nyawo will gain more screen time.
Regarding guest actors, we will have: Joanna Lumley, Thandiwe Newton, Frances O’Connor, Haley Joel Osment, Heather Matarazzo and Joonas Suotamo. Fred Armisen will reprise the role of Uncle Chicho, while Christopher Lloyd will make a cameo appearance.

There are still very few details about the plot of the second part of Wandinha (not to say none), however, it’s safe to say that the new episodes should continue what we saw at the end of the first season (which left some pretty obvious cliffhangers).
The second year will continue to accompany Wandinha in her troubled period at Escola Nunca Mais, which holds several secrets and mysteries. In fact, in some interviews, Ortega, who is also a producer of the series, has already said that the second season will lean more towards classic horror (instead of focusing on romantic relationships and teenage dramas, although they are still present).
