Can you believe it’s been 20 years since “Friends” ended? In day May 6, 2004 the final episode of this series that not only defined a generation but continues to be present in our lives and in pop cultureevery year appearing on the lists of most watched productions on streaming.
Since then, some names from this beloved cast have left us. It is the case that Matthew Perrythe eternal Chandler, who passed away last year, and James Michael Tylerthe fun Gunther, who died in 2021. Some of the actors, however, are still active, shining wherever they go.

Playing the powerful and fashionista Rachel Green, Jennifer even won an Emmy for Best Actress in a Comedy for her participation in the series. After “Friends” she threw herself into the world of cinema, starring in numerous romantic comedies. Currently she shows her more dramatic side on “The Morning Show”.
Monica Geller in “Friends”, Courteney also has another iconic role in her career: that of Gale Weathers, from “Scream”. She even appeared in the two most recent films in the horror franchise, to the delight of fans. The actress is also an entrepreneur and created the Homecourt brand in 2022, focused on fragrances for the home.
As the crazy Phoebe Buffay from “Friends”, Lisa got a lot of laughs from the audience present at the recordings and from those watching at home. That hasn’t changed. The actress continues to make fun appearances in films, series and even cartoons, with several voiceovers.
David Schwimmer has had a very varied career since leaving the pragmatic Ross Geller behind. The actor ventured as a director in some productions, was successful when voicing the zebra Melman in the “Madagascar” franchise and shone as the lawyer Robert Kardashian (yes, the father of the Kardashians) in the anthological series “American Crime Story”, in a season about the OJ Simpson trial.
After “Friends”, Matt continued to play the flirtatious Joey Tribbiani in a spin-off that followed the character’s life as an artist in Los Angeles. The project didn’t work out very well, but Matt continued to rock television, even winning the Golden Globe for Best Actor in a Comedy or Musical Series in 2012 for his performance in “Episodes”.
Paul Rudd was already known when he joined the cast of “Friends” in its ninth and penultimate season as Mike, Phoebe’s boyfriend. However, at the end of the series, his career reached another level. The actor became a constant presence in several film comedies and even became a Marvel hero when he played “Ant-Man”.
It’s impossible to look at Maggie Wheeler, responsible for playing Janice in “Friends”, without hearing her well-known “Ooooh… myyyy… GOOOOD!”, right? After the success of the series, the actress decided to leave the small screen aside and invest in children’s literature, becoming a writer. Can you believe?
