Fernanda Bande, from ‘BBB 24’, told how she converted to the gospel, after being raised as a Catholic. The confectioner revealed that she passed by the current church she attends, in the Itaipu neighborhood, Niterói (RJ), when she was impressed by the lights and noise of the place. When he entered, he had a good feeling and, from that moment on, he decided to participate in the services. Currently, she is part of CEI, owned by pastor Valdir Brasil.
— Even though I was Catholic and studied at a convent school (São Vicente), I didn’t connect with the belief. When I discovered my current church I got goosebumps. I didn’t know anyone there, but when I saw the show and the black church, looking like Rock in Rio, with lights and laser beams, just like a nightclub, I went in. Out of nowhere, I had goosebumps all over, like a cat, and I was kneeling down. I went crazy with it there — she says.

Despite being determined with the religion she chose, Fernanda admits that she has been learning about the gospel. Loba believes that she was not an example for followers of the belief during “BBB 24”.
— I see myself as an evangelical by choice, but not by knowledge. I don’t know the whole gospel. I’m on a journey, still learning. I sin, I swear, I drink… I can’t go and raise a flag so that other evangelicals don’t feel represented by me — she says.
Fernanda Bande suffered criticism on ‘BBB 24’ because of her religion
During ‘BBB 24’, some comments on social media criticized Fernanda for having done commercials with lingerie even though she was evangelical.
— I think (these comments) are silly. It’s a job. Before I got divorced (from the relationship between Marcelo’s father and Laura’s father), I had bought new lingerie. I thought I would use it at the end of the wedding, I had some hope of returning. I dont know. I took my last penny and paid a night at a small hotel to take some photos with her. I sent the photos to the brand telling my story and they liked me. I was asked to work as a model. I had no money at all and I started a partnership with them, who understood my situation, that I needed the money — he assesses.
