Justice 2: Intimacy coordinator reveals behind the scenes of hot scenes between Paolla Oliveira and Nanda Costa

In an interview with Quem, Larissa Bracher explained that her role is to protect and ensure the consent of professionals against any type of harassment. “We think a lot about harassment in relation to direction, but it can also happen from a main cast with the supporting cast, the supporting cast, the supporting cast in relation to the acting, teams in relation to the acting”he pondered.

The concern became even greater after the start of the Me Too movement in Hollywood, when several stars exposed cases of sexual violence behind the scenes of major productions. “We understood that much of what happened regarding harassment in the audiovisual sector had to do with this hierarchical issue of power, in all places where professionally there is a person who is in charge. Normally, there is a greater facilitator for harassment to also exist, in all terms: sexual harassment, moral harassment, violations of personal limits”continued.

Regarding her work on “Justiça 2”, Larissa clarified that the director passes his idea to the intimacy coordination team, which mediates with the actors. “We make an argument in defense of the cast, collect consent in accordance with the creative vision of the directors and actors involved in that scene, who can and have the right to say what they want and what they don’t want to do in light of that idea”detailed the professional.

“If necessary, there is a rehearsal. Depending on where the camera will be, the difficulty of the scene, it will need to be choreographed or a body double. I also come into direct contact with the creative costume design team. The actors know exactly what clothes they are going to wear, what barriers they will have at that moment, what I have already thought about for that scene that is going to happen. I talk about the barriers with the actors too, what they will use for codpieces, nipple covers, if applicable”he added.

In the series, Paolla plays Jordana, a great music businesswoman who receives a fortune from her father and kills her brother so as not to share his inheritance. At one point, she has a relationship with Milena, Nanda’s character, who is arrested for the crime and, years later, blackmails the rich woman into becoming a famous singer. Their relationship is marked by a lot of seduction, which was commented on by Larissa. “Very talented friends, very professional, very collaborative too. To my delight, they were very engaged in the intimacy coordination function. From the first moment I talked to them”praised.

She concluded by thanking the stars for their collaboration. “They were very curious about this new role and wanted to understand more about it. Their adherence was immediate. It was exciting how Paolla and Nanda welcomed me and received this role in the audiovisual. I’m very happy that we did the first scene together with intimacy coordination on Brazilian television and I’m very grateful to them”he concluded.
