We said goodbye to it forever long ago, but The Big Bang Theory was a sitcom that lasted more than 10 years and managed to be one of those that end up being part of popular culture. Since it came to an end in 2019, the main actors of the famous sitcom have continued to participate in different projects, but Sheldon, Leonard, Penny and company have become so deeply ingrained in the audience that we will always remember them for their charismatic characters.
Furthermore, throughout its 12 seasons, The Big Bang Theory has had the honor of receiving visits from great personalities, both actors and actresses and people linked to science, in the form of unforgettable special appearances. Some, like Stephen Hawking, Carrie Fisher, Stan Lee, James Earl Jones and Nathan Fillion, played themselves, while others, like Back to the Future star Christopher Lloyd, brought other characters to life.
Another notable cameo was that of veteran actress Kathy Bates, winner of the Oscar for Best Actress for Crazy Obsession, who first appeared at the end of season 11 to play a very special role: that of Mrs. Fowler, Amy’s mother ( Mayim Bialik).
What many of us didn’t remember at the time, however, was that Amy’s mother, Farrah Fowler, had appeared on the series before and that it wasn’t Kathy Bates who played her.
