Bebel is unmasked and goes to jail

Bebel (Camila Pitanga) will fall into a trap and will be unmasked at the end of Tropical paradise. The call girl’s plan to take money from Antenor (Tony Ramos), by falsifying the DNA test, means that she ends up in the hands of the police in the last chapter of the Globo soap opera.

The one who tries to solve the mystery is Paula (Alessandra Negrini), willing to ruin the bad character’s plan. The girl has the help of Clemente (Reginaldo Faria), who pretends to be someone else and arranges a meeting with Bebel, luring the prostitute into an act.

Clemente also deceives Jarbas (Márcio Vito), Olavo’s (Wagner Moura) partner responsible for tampering with the DNA results. The retiree pretends to have a problem and asks the criminal to change his exams, and the criminal promptly responds.

Bebel is tense when she arrives at the meeting place and comes face to face with Paula. The girl promises to tell Antenor everything and thus promote a new DNA test, which will prove the fraud. Jarbas then assumes: “Please, guys, I didn’t want to. Olavo pressured me. It’s his son.”

With the confession, Paula calls police chief Hélio (Ernani Moraes), who was listening to everything in secret, and arrests the duo in the act. Before seeing her rival being taken away, Daniel’s wife (Fábio Assunção) gloats:

“Look, Bebel, tell him everything and then see if your life can be sorted out, right?! Because even a scamming bitch like you has to face the law. Even if it’s the law of gravity… Because one day all this will fall, and then what will be left for you?”

When being taken to the police car, Bebel takes advantage of a moment of distraction from the police and escapes. But, scenes later, she is captured again. She reappears after a passage of time, now free from prison, and saying that she lost the son she was expecting.

After a passage of time, Bebel appears at Marion’s (Vera Holtz) house and tells her that she rebuilt her life after Olavo’s death. After going to prison, she met a filthy rich senator with no scruples. On the other hand, she ended up involved in the politician’s shady business.

In her last scene in the soap opera, Bebel appears testifying at a CPI in the National Congress. She tries to deny her involvement in her new lover’s corruption schemes, while at the same time celebrating that she is appearing so frequently on TV and in magazines.

Upon meeting a photographer friend among the journalists present at the CPI, Bebel announces that she is going to pose nude for a men’s magazine. “Your Excellencies, it’s going to be an artistic nude, okay?! Because my dream is to be a TV presenter”, she says naughty, amidst the debate between politicians.

The rerun of Paraíso Tropical ends on Friday, May 3, on Vale a Pena Ver de Novo, on Globo afternoons. The plot will be replaced by Alma Gêmea (2005), which returns to air this Monday, April 29th.
