According to Sabrina Castro, from Notícias da TV, Zefa will not allow her family to spend money without restrictions, but the discovery of the rare precious stone will be the main topic of conversation in Lasca Fogo. Soon, the rumors will reach the ears of Ariosto (Eduardo Moscovis), who will be agitated by the prospect of increasing his fortune.
The villain will team up with Marcelo Gouveia (José Loreto) and will try to use the boy as bait to gain newfound wealth. To do this, the boy will resume his advances towards Quinota (Larissa Boccino), despite knowing that the young woman is deeply in love with Artur (Tulio Starling).
The hero of the plot is Ariosto’s adopted son, but the latter knows that the engineer would not accept benefiting to the detriment of his beloved. Therefore, he joins the story’s antagonist. Together, they will not only torment the protagonist, but also her adoptive sisters, Margaridinha (Heloísa Honein) and Benvinda (Dandara Queiroz).
