Eiza Gonzalez talks about Season 2 of The 3-Body Problem

-
  • Eiza Gonzalez speculates where her character will be in The 3-Body Problem, if the series is renewed;
  • Netflix has not commented on a second season so far;
  • In the books, we have a time jump that may or may not be adapted straight away.

The series The 3-Body Problem has not yet been renewed, but actress Eiza Gonzalez decided to break the silence and talk about what she expects for her character – Auggie Salazar – in the future of the production.

Considering that there is no time jump or more futuristic developments, she points out that a new batch of episodes can do justice to the scientist and what she can achieve in production.

“Auggie’s arc is really intense in the first season. I’m really excited about the potential for a second season to happen and what the possibilities will be for Auggie. We left her behind at the end of the first season, technically. So we don’t know where she’s going to be next, physically and emotionally, and that’s really exciting as an actress.”

The books do not collaborate with Eiza Gonzalez

In the books on which The 3-Body Problem is based, we have a time jump that shows humanity facing the challenge against the aliens directly. However, it has not been revealed whether they will adapt this into a possible second season or whether it will even exist – considering that Netflix remains silent about the renewal.
