Launched in January 2024, the Realme 12 Pro Plus arrives in Brazil with the promise of being a complete intermediate cell phone, with a focus on cameras, highlighting the 64 millimeter telephoto sensor with 3 times optical zoom. It also has a curved screen AMOLED in 6.7 inches with impressive 120Hz in the refresh rate.
The battery has a standard capacity of 5,000 mAh. Just like the Realme 12 Pro Plus, another cell phone I recently analyzed, Realme also has a processor Snapdragon 7s Gen 2running Android 14. But unlike POCO, the Realme 12 Pro Plus uses the interface Realme UI 5.0.

Realme 12 Pro Plus – Battery Test
We reserved a day of testing (7:45 hours of total duration) to check the real battery capacity of the new Realme 12 Pro Plus, separating the results into several stages. Some base settings are standardized in all tests to better measure the result, including:
- Screen Brightness: 300 lumens;
- Refresh Rate: Automatic/Standard;
- Vibration: Lowest intensity possible;
- Sound: Off;
The test uses manual actions to change applications at each new stage, in addition to also using Robotnik, a robotic arm built by the Oficina da Net programming team to assist in stages that require screen scrolling or other actions for long periods of time. .
Step 1: Chrome Navigation
The test consists of automatic navigation through our website using a URL specific to the activity. These are controlled pages, which automatically scroll after a period of time, simulating the use of a real person.
O Realme 12 Pro Plus drained 5% of battery when scrolling our website for 1 hour, being only 250mAh of the device’s total 5,000mAh.
Step 2: Use of Social Media – Instagram
The test consists of automatic navigation through Instagram Reels using a robot arm that scrolls through videos every 15 seconds. The robot, kindly nicknamed Robotnik, was developed here at Oficina da Net, exclusively to assist in battery tests.

Step 3: Using Camera
The camera test consists of recording a one-hour video in FULL HD 30 FPS, in 16:9 format.

Step 4: Watch Youtube
The test consists of playing a personalized playlist (always the same videos) from the Oficina Da Net channel in the best possible quality (1080p 60fps) and in full screen.
O Realme 12 Pro Plus consumed 12% when watching videos on Youtube for a period of 2 hoursbeing 600mAh of the device’s total 5,000mAh.
Step 5: Games – Stack Ball
The test consists of running the game on the home screen, with vibration on and without making any movements.
O Realme 12 Pro Plus spent an impressive 27% of the battery playing for 2 hoursbeing 1,350mAh of the device’s total 5,000mAh.
Step 6: AnTuTu Benchmark Stress Test
The test consists of running the AnTuTu Benchmark application stress test. This is one of the heaviest tests, it is used to try all the processor cores to the maximum and drain the battery.
O Realme 12 Pro Plus consumed 20% during 45 minutes of AnTuTu stress test, about 1,000mAh of the total 5,000mAh battery.
Step 7: Stand By with screen off
After all six steps, the Realme 12 Pro Plus ended up with 13% battery remaining. After the end of the application test, it used up 1% of battery for 15 hours with the screen off in stand-by.

This cell phone really surprised me with its autonomy. Our test proves that, despite the Realme 12 Pro Plus using the same Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 processor as the POCO X6, it achieved a much higher autonomy result than the Xiaomi device.
