Shipment Conforms: secretary confirms drop in imports in Brazil

This week, the special secretary of the Federal Revenue, Robinson Barreirinhas, said that the monthly number of international remittances fell from 22 million in June last year to around 15 million this year.

Yes, ladies and gentlemen. This is the impact of Remessa Conformo, since many people stopped caring when they saw how much they needed to pay in taxes when making a purchase.

Barreirinhas also said at the Parliamentary Entrepreneurship Front that 100% of imports are correctly declared by Chinese retailers and the Federal Revenue now knows everything that is entering Brazil.

The secretary did not want to go into details about possible federal taxation for imports below US$50, but parliamentarians demanded a position from the Revenue.

The states have also debated an increase in the ICMS from 17% to 25%, but the matter has not yet been endorsed by Comsefaz after pressure from some entities.

Redmi 13 5G has 33W battery and charging revealed in new leak

The Redmi 13 5G had more details leaked. This time, a Chinese informant confirmed that the smartphone will deliver a battery with 5,000 mAh capacity.

Furthermore, the device must have a Qualcomm Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 chip, that is, the same as its predecessor. The biggest evolution of this generation is fast charging, which will go from 18W to 33W.

This device is yet to be announced with native Android 14 running underneath HyperOS 1.0 in China, India and also in the global market.

Finally, the expectation is that the Redmi 13 5G will offer NFC in all markets, as the same will not happen with the model that has a 4G connection.

For now, we don’t have a launch date for this entry-level cell phone, but that could change over the next few weeks.

Android 15 will be able to indicate the remaining life of your cell phone

In a publication released this week, developers revealed that a new API included in Android 15 beta 1 should indicate the remaining useful life of smartphone components, such as storage chips, battery, memory and many others in the cell phone.

This will allow the user to see which parts of the smartphone are most worn out and replace them before they develop a critical defect. In other words, we are talking about a very useful feature in a scenario where many manufacturers already promise seven years of updates for their devices.

However, it must be said that not all current cell phones will be compatible with the new product, and, in some cases, there are problems with reading accuracy.

The Pixel 8 series, for example, has a 1% error rate, while other devices have a lower 10% failure rate. We have to wait and see how this feature will arrive in the stable version of Android 15, but it will be very important even when reselling used smartphones.

The future of the Xbox looks a lot like that of a PC

According to some executives and market analysts, Microsoft’s gaming division is increasingly closer to unifying with a PC rather than focusing on proprietary consoles.

Therefore, in the near future, Microsoft needs to make the console capable of running PC games, even opening the platform so that it has third-party stores. In other words, a model similar to what we have in Windows.

Currently, Microsoft sells its Xbox consoles at a loss that it recovers through the sale of games. If rival PC stores use an Xbox, subsidizing the hardware will become much more complicated and could lead to more expensive consoles.

Therefore, there are chances that the Redmond giant will also allow third-party Xbox consoles. But, that doesn’t mean Microsoft will abandon Xbox hardware. Only the model that can change drastically and move away from what we have today.

iPhone 16: Apple may replace volume and power buttons with capacitive options

This week, sources revealed that the Cupertino company will replace the current volume and power buttons with capacitive options on the iPhone 16 line. In other words, something similar to the new action button.

With this, it will be possible to offer users more options depending on the touch pressure level or even the number of touches.

However, it is not yet clear whether the entire iPhone 16 line will receive capacitive buttons or whether only the iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max models will feature the new feature.

Still, we have something that will be common to all devices: the new cooling system designed to ensure that they will stay cold while running Apple’s hardware-based Artificial Intelligence.

Sources guarantee that Apple’s AI will work 100% offline. In other words, without cloud processing. Therefore, the company has been working hard on cooling and even other hardware changes.

But, as we know, everything is still speculation.

In addition, it is also expected to have the largest screen in this line, going from a 6.3 to 6.7 inch AMOLED panel.

The device is also expected to deliver 1.5K resolution on the display, 120 Hz rate, 12 GB of RAM by default and a 50 MP main camera. Not to mention the battery in the range of 5,000 mAh, with 25W charging, and native Android 14.
