WhatsApp gains global support for logins with Passkeys

-

O Whatsapp announced today that its application for iOS is gaining support for verification with Password keys (Passkeys). The news arrives three months after testing the feature began and some time after it was made available in the Android version of the messenger. The feature is being released starting today and will be fully available to all users over the next few weeks.

To activate the function, simply go to the corresponding option in the “Account” menu, located in the “Settings” tab. With Password Keys enabled, you can log in to the app using Face ID, Touch ID or your iPhone passcode. This way, users will no longer rely solely on the six-digit password or code sent by message currently used.
