Bugatti’s latest car is being compared to a Formula 1 car

-

Bugatti has achieved an extraordinary piece in every way. After tests carried out on racing circuits, the company stated that the Bugatti Bolide offers a driving experience comparable to that of a Formula 1 car, at least in terms of acceleration out of corners.

Bolide, a concept made reality

When the concept was announced four years ago, many doubted the end result would be similar. Although slightly less powerful than the original concept, which had 1,826 horsepower, Bugatti achieved a machine comparable to a Formula 1 car.

Bolide stands out in practically all technical areas of construction. It is a sports car with 1,578 horsepower, thanks to its 8-liter quad-turbo W-16 engine and all-wheel drive (like the Chiron), although – and this is essential – much lighter, at 1,240 kilos, what brings you closer to a Formula 1 car.

The model incorporates a chassis monocoque in carbon fiber developed in collaboration with Dallara, and the bodywork, equipped with spoilers, provides three tons of downforceallowing Bolide reach up to 2.5 g of downforce side (once again, with values that rival an F1 car).

Bugatti even exaggerated some of the car's features

The Bolide boasts a top speed of 380 km/h, slightly lower than the Chiron, but on the track it has no rivals of its kind thanks to a unique carbon system that allows braking power similar to that of a single-seater, despite its weight. significantly higher. Amazing, yes, but apparently there are no tracks with the minimum distance (two kilometers in a straight line) to enjoy this premium grip.

Being a vehicle that was originally designed for the track, the ride is not particularly comfortable, they say. The interior is well decorated with leather and carbon fiber, but not designed for long journeys.

With a price of around four million dollars and limited to just 40 units, Bolide is simply a dream for the vast majority of mortals. However, despite their potential on the track, it is likely that many of these super sports cars will end up in exclusive private collections…
