Coach Fernando Seabra defined Cruzeiro’s lineup to face Alianza Petrolera this Tuesday (7/5), in the fourth round of Group B of the Copa Sudamericana. The teams will face each other at 9:30 pm, at the Estadio Armando Maestre Pajaveau, in Valledupar, Colombia.

In search of recovery in the continental tournament, Raposa goes to the field with Anderson; William, Zé Ivaldo, João Marcelo and Marlon; Lucas Romero, Lucas Silva, and Matheus Pereira; Arthur Gomes, Álvaro Barreal and Rafa Silva.

On the reserve bench will be: Léo Aragão, Palacios, Neris, Villalba, Kaiki, Machado, Vitinho, Ramiro, Cifuentes, Veron, Robert and Rafael Elias.

The new addition to the starting line-up is the addition of Álvaro Barreal to replace José Cifuentes. The striker played a major role in the 3-1 victory over Vitória, at Mineirão, in Belo Horizonte, in the fourth round of the Brazilian Championship. He came off the bench and provided two assists to his teammates in the second half.

Cruzeiro absences

Cruzeiro has four absences for the match against Alianza: midfielders Mateus Vital (surgery on his right shoulder) and Japa (muscle injury on his left thigh), striker Rafael Bilu (surgery on the Achilles tendon of his right foot) and center forward Juan Dinenno (left thigh injury and fractured nose bones).

South American Cruise

After drawing the initial three rounds, Cruzeiro seeks to begin the resumption of the competition this Tuesday. The celestial team has three points and appears in third place, outside the knockout classification zone.
