Michel Pereira debuts in the middleweight rankings after show at UFC 301; Caio Borralho gains positions

O starring show against Ihor Potieria on the main card of UFC 301last Saturday (4) gave not only the victory and the ‘Performance of the Night’ bonus to Michel Pereirabut also a position in the ranking of average weight (up to 83.9 kg).

In an update promoted by the organization in the early hours of this Tuesday (7), the ‘Paraense Voador’ appears in 13th position in the middleweight category, a weight category in which he has won three in three fights, all won in around one minute.

This is the first time that Michel’s name appears in the ranking of the new category. The Brazilian had already been ranked, however, while fighting in the welterweight division (up to 77.1 kg).

Michel Pereira was not the only Brazilian middleweight to benefit from a victory in UFC 301. Beyond, Caio Borralho gained positions with the knockout over the Scotsman Paul Craigalso on the main card of the Rio de Janeiro event.

The Maranhão native, who entered the Octagon as 14th in the rankings, now appears in 12th place, one ahead of Michel. Victim of the Brazilian, Paul Craig left the top 15 in the category.
