Fluminense embarks this Tuesday for another commitment for the Conmebol Libertadores: the match against Colo-Colo, this Thursday, in Santiago, Chile. Leader of group A, Tricolor seeks to increase its longest undefeated streak in the history of the tournament against the Chileans, who occupy second place in the group.
Tactical analysis: Fluminense’s high scoring was a positive point in the game against Atlético-MG
In the 2024 edition, Fluminense debuted with a 1-1 away draw against Alianza Lima (PER). At home, they defeated Colo-Colo 2-1 before drawing again in a Libertadores game, this time time with Cerro Porteño (PAR).
Tricolor is the current leader of group A, with five points. This Thursday’s opponent, Colo-Colo has the same four points as Cerro Porteño, third place, but with one more goal scored. Alianza Lima is at the bottom of the group, with two points added.
Fluminense will repeat the pattern followed on trips to Libertadores games and will arrive in the country of the clash two days before the ball rolls. This Wednesday, Tricolor will do one last training session on Chilean soil, at the Universidad de Chile Sports Complex. The match against Colo-Colo will be this Thursday, at 9pm (Brasília time).
