2019 US Open champion, Canadian Bianca Andreescu commented on the series of injuries she suffered throughout her career.

The Canadian, who was once number four in the world, has been away from the court in recent months due to a back injury. Previously, the tennis player had already been away from the courts due to other injuries.

“I don’t feel like my body is 23 years old, because of all the injuries. I’ve been very unlucky. The universe likes to test us in different ways. The hardest test of my life has been dealing with physical injuries, in addition to mental health problems, which in some ways go hand in hand. I don’t regret anything, I learned a lot about myself through the challenges I had to face, more than through the victories and happy times”, said Andreescu, in an interview with ‘Match Point Canada’.

Andreescu tries a new restart on the courts. After nine months away, the Canadian will compete in the WTA 250 in Rabat, Morocco, starting on the 19th. “I feel good and looking forward to returning to Rabat. I’ve been training for the last three months, it’s been the longest pre-season I’ve ever had in my life, but it’s been going really well,” she commented.
