O Coritiba is looking for a new coach to replace Guto Ferreira, who was fired last Friday (3), after the 1-0 defeat to Sport, at Couto Pereira.
The Alviverde board will meet during the week to discuss possible names for the position. Currently, Thiago Carpini, formerly of São Paulo and Juventude, is the highest rated behind the scenes in Alviverdes.

Gustavo Morínigo
The coach was offered to Coritiba after the dismissal of Guto Ferreira, according to UmDois Esportes. The Paraguayan is at Remo, which competes in Series C, but is going through a bad phase and has accumulated three consecutive defeats. At Coritiba, he was responsible for alviverde access in 2021.
In Série A, in 2022, he was fired and replaced by Guto Ferreira, responsible for maintaining the elite that year.
Thiago Carpini
Dismissed from São Paulo in April this year, Carpini is the name that has been mentioned the most to take over as commando. The coach arrived at Tricolor in January to replace Dorival Júnior and led the São Paulo team in 18 games, with eight wins, four draws and six defeats. In 2023, he guaranteed Juventude’s access to Série A.
Mano Menezes
Mano’s last job was at Corinthians, a team he led from September 2023 to February this year. With his poor performance at Paulistão, he was fired. Previously, the coach led Internacional and fell in July 2023, for the arrival of Coudet. It weighs against the high amounts charged by the professional.
Paulo Autuori
Autuori did his last job as coach for Cruzeiro, at the end of 2023, when he held the position on an interim basis after the departure of Zé Ricardo. After Lacarmón’s arrival, he returned to his role as the team’s technical director until he left the club last month with the sale of Ronaldo’s SAF.
Autuori has already stated that he does not intend to return to working as a coach. Still, he has a close relationship with Coxa’s football executive, William Thomas.
Paulo Turra
Free on the market, Paulo Turra had difficulty finding new work after leaving Athletico, in June 2023. He spent time at Santos, managing Peixe for just seven games. At the end of the year, he went to Portuguese football, where he coached Vitória de Guimarães for six matches. It is within the budget possibilities of alviverde.
Alex
Another name speculated was Alex, a white thigh idol. His last job was at Avaí, last year, his first in the professional category. Before, he commanded one of São Paulo’s youth teams. The former player has already admitted his desire to coach his favorite club. However, Alex has been considered to take over Antalyaspor, from Türkiye.
Vanderlei Luxemburgo
Dismissed in September 2023 from Corinthians, Luxembourg has been free on the market since then. His last performance in Series B was for Cruzeiro, in 2021, when he led the team for 23 games and took Raposa out of the relegation zone to Series C, but was unable to gain access.
