Red Bull will have Pierre Wache guaranteed for a few more good years in F1. Information indicates that the Austrian team’s technical director renewed his already renewed contract until 2028.
The manager had already reached a new agreement with the team in the middle of 2023. However, at the start of this year’s championship, he once again renewed it and now remains in his current home for another four years.
It turns out that there were already other teams eyeing the Frenchman, and one of them was Ferrari. With the recent moves, then, the technical director sent a clear message to his opponents that he does not plan on going anywhere else in F1.
But that’s not the only Red Bull name that the Maranello team has for 2025 and beyond. After the recent announcement of Adrian Newey’s departure at the beginning of next year, the Italian team has been racing against time to hire the designer.
As a result of Newey’s departure, Wache will take on responsibility for developing the 2026 car, which will be based on new technical regulations.
