McLaren F1 driver, Lando Norris held off Max Verstappen and occupied the top of the podium in Miami; Briton had the highest number of podiums without triumphs

“It’s about time. It took a long time to arrive, but I finally did it. I finally handed it over to the team. It was a tough race, but I finally reached the top. I’m over the moon”, stated Norris. The driver held the record for the highest number of podiums without a triumph, out of 15 opportunities in the highest category of motorsport.

“The whole weekend was good. I had little setbacks along the way. I knew that on Friday I had rhythm, today we managed to set it with the perfect strategy. I’m very proud. A lot of people had doubts along the way, I made mistakes in the last five years, but today we decided to stay with McLaren because I believed in them.”he completed.
