In April 2023, Carabajal was loaned to Vasco, with an agreement valid until the end of 2023, and with a definitive purchase option. In August last year, the Rio team reached an agreement with Santos and loaned the player to Puebla, in Mexico, where he should stay until the end of this season.

For Santos, Carabajal had just 12 appearances and one ball in the net. At Vasco, there were six appearances and no goals. While on the Mexican team, he entered the field 16 times and contributed two assists.

This year, Santos was prevented from signing players in two periods: first by the transfer ban due to the debt with coach Fabian Bustos and then by another punishment due to debt with Krasnodar, from Russia, for signing Cueva, in 2019. In the first On this occasion, Peixe paid R$4 million in cash, and on the second occasion it reached an agreement to split the payment amounting to 4.5 million dollars (around R$22 million) in four installments until June 25, 2024 .

If they receive the new transfer ban, Peixe would be unable to sign players in the mid-year window. Santos is focused on the Series B dispute and returns to the field this Monday, when they face Guarani, in Vila Belmiro, at 9 pm (Brasília time).
