London, England) – The International Tennis Federation promoted this Tuesday the draw for the final phase of the Billie Jean King Cup, in which 12 countries will fight for the 2024 title in eliminatory duels. Eight countries duel in the opening round and the four winners face the seeded teams, who leave early.
The final phase of the BJK Cup will take place between November 12th and 19th at the La Cartuja stadium, in the Spanish city of Seville. The clashes are made up of two singles and one double in case of a draw in the initial clashes. The round of 16 takes place between November 12th and 14th, the quarterfinals will be from 15th to 17th, with a semi-final on Monday, the 17th, and a decision on Tuesday.
The draw indicated Germany, responsible for eliminating Brazil at the Ibirapuera gym two weeks ago, to face the British, who surprised France away from home in February. Whoever wins will face Canada, the current champion.
The USA plays against Slovakia, leaving Australia’s opponent, while the hosts face Poland and decide who will play against the Czech Republic. Finally, Italy awaits anyone passing between Japan and Romania.
