Cruzeiro’s football manager, Alexandre Mattos, sent a message to the fans this Tuesday (30). Pedro Lourenço’s trusted mannew manager of the Sociedade Anônima de Futebol (SAF) from Cruzeiro, the director asked for support from the stands in this new cycle.
“We want to achieve a lot, have a victorious Cruzeiro and do better from there. Knowing the difficulty, that the time is different and still for reconstruction. Now is the time to understand that we really, really need the fans. This is the moment when fans really have to embrace the team. You have to understand that, with him together, the possibility of going through some stages of the process will be healthier. I really want to make things go well”, said Mattos in a video released by the club.
According to Alexandre, Cruzeiro’s new management perfectly understands the size of the club and how the board can provide fans with a more successful future.
“The fans know me and know that I have determination, focus and the desire to win. We know what Cruzeiro is, the requirement that Cruzeiro is. In the Burrow [da Raposa II], I feel at home. I’m sure that Mineirão, our Toca III, will be a driving force with the songs, with the shine that the fans make. That’s what we need, the team, the coaching staff. Despite not having been officially announced by Cruzeiro, Alexandre Mattos already works normally behind the scenes at the club. This Monday (29), in fact, the football director was present at the press conference announcing the sale of SAF. Mattos praised Ronaldo’s work and praised Pedro Lourenço’s confidence in the new project.
This Tuesday (30), in the video published by Cruzeiro on social media, Mattos commented on the return to Toca da Raposa IIin Belo Horizonte.
