Nadal and Alcaraz discuss the possibility of teaming up at the Paris Olympic Games

In an interview with “RTVE”, tennis player Rafael Nadal commented on his plans for competing in the Paris 2024 Olympic Games. The Spaniard is still not sure which modality he will compete in the event, which will also be held at Roland Garros, but raised the possibility of joining Carlos Alcaraz in the doubles.

– I can say that my plan is to compete in the Olympic event. I don’t know in which modalities, I’ll see that in the coming months, but I would love to play with Carlos. Yes, we can finally do that, it would be nice to play a doubles tournament together first. I hope to compete there, no matter what happens at Roland Garros – said the Spaniard, who will debut this Thursday (25) against Darwin Blanch at the Masters 1000 in Madrid, Spain.

In a chat with the newspaper “Marca”, young star Carlos Alcaraz confessed to being “afraid” of looking for Rafa to invite him to doubles.

– We didn’t talk about it. I met him those days at the tournaments, but the truth is I didn’t dare tell him. I don’t know, it’s something that would make me very emotional, it would be a dream and that’s why it obliges me. Having to tell him is something that takes a toll on me. I know he’s excited to play with me. I’ve said a thousand times that it would be great to play doubles with him in my first Olympics – he said.
