The situation occurs due to the fact that Seabra does not have the Conmebol PRO License, required by the entity for coaches in competitions organized by it. Seabra explains that he has not yet obtained the CBF License A (required to withdraw the PRO from Conmebol) due to the base calendars.

“What happened is that, due to the base’s calendar, I couldn’t do the remaining days of face-to-face classes for License A. I have all my work submitted. There were two modules, I managed to do one, but the preparation for Copa São Paulo (in December/January) complicates things.”

– I’ve already started, I was supposed to train, but the calendar didn’t allow it. There are a few days left to watch. Once I have the card, I can sign as head coach again – explained the Cruzeiro coach in the mixed zone, in Concepción.

Fernando Seabra was hired by Cruzeiro to replace Nicolás Larcamón and was left on the bench against Alianza FC, at Mineirão, due to a provisional license that the club obtained from Conmebol. Release, however, has to be requested each round.

Between the games against Alianza and La Calera, O cruise hired assistant Moisés Moura, who has been released by Conmebol. For this reason, he signed on as coach for the Chile game, even giving interviews before and after the match. Seabra highlighted the experience of his fellow technical committee member.

– Moisés is a football professional who played at a high level and recently worked for a long time at Braga. He is a coach who served as main under-20 team at Avaí, but also spent a long time as an assistant at Guarani.

Fernando Seabra has the necessary clearance to sign as Cruzeiro coach in Brazilian Championship games. The job at Toca da Raposa is his first as coach of a high-level professional team. Previously, he had been a coach for youth teams and Red Bull Bragantino B.
