Daniel Alves’ family does not welcome the resumption of the former player’s relationship with his wife, model Joana Sanz, according to information from the newspaper “El Tiempo” published by “O Globo”. After she stated that she would ask for a divorce because he had been unfaithful, the Spanish woman went back and gave the relationship another chance.

At the time he was arrested, the Brazilian’s family members demanded Joana Sanz’s support for Daniel Alves. Now, they have “declared war” against the resumption, according to “El Tiempo”. She was always reluctant to give her opinion on what had happened to the former Barcelona full-back in a Barcelona nightclub.

After leaving prison on bail of 1 million euros (R$5.4 million), photos of Daniel Alves with Joana Sanz were published. The images of the couple holding hands and walking through the streets of Barcelona pointed to reconciliation. The former player is awaiting provisional release for the analysis of appeals to Spanish court sentenced him to four and a half years in prison for the crime of rape.

The newspaper “La Razón” also reported that the photos of the couple walking did not go down well. Relatives of Daniel Alves would have assessed that the return of the relationship with Sanz is not the best for the former player, after she considered what happened at the nightclub as “infidelity”.

According to “Mundo Deportivo”, when the Brazilian was released from prison, Joana Sanz was not there waiting for him, which would have set off an “alarm” among relatives, but the absence would be justified because she was away on work.
