Without victories in 208 GPs, Nico Hulkenberg reaches a historic but uncelebrated milestone

Haas driver Nico Hulkenberg achieved an unwanted record in the world of Formula 1 by competing in his 208th Grand Prix without achieving a single victory, making him equal with Italian driver Andrea de Cesaris. Since his Formula 1 debut in 2010, Hulkenberg has never managed to cross the finish line in first place, firmly establishing himself on the list of drivers with the most GPs contested without victories or podiums.

In addition to now sharing first place on the list of “Most GPs without a victory”, Hulkenberg holds another unwanted record: since September 2017, he is the driver with the most starts in races without reaching the podium. In his 208 races, he never finished second or third. Second on this less enviable list is Adrian Sutil, who started 128 GPs without achieving a podium.

The Top 7 drivers without victories in F1 also includes the names of two other current drivers, Kevin Magnussen in fifth place and Lance Stroll in seventh. These numbers highlight Hulkenberg’s longevity and challenges in the category, as he continues to seek better results while dreaming of a place in the Mercedes team, as he recently expressed: “Every driver wants that.”

Drivers with the most GP’s and who have never won:
1. Andrea de Cesaris – 208
1. Nico Hulkenberg – 208
3. Nick Heidfeld – 183
4. Romain Grosjean – 179
5. Kevin Magnussen – 168
6. Martin Brundle – 158
7. Lance Stroll – 148
