Journalist Alan Neto, known for presenting the Trem Bala program, on TV Ceará, died this Wednesday (3) at the age of 83. The professional had been hospitalized in Fortaleza since the end of January, when he suffered a domestic accident.

The communicator leaves a wife, a daughter and a granddaughter. In addition to presenting the well-known sports program, the journalist was also a columnist for the O Povo portal.

Due to the domestic accident, Alan Neto had a fractured femoral neck and underwent surgery. The journalist was discharged, but returned to the hospital with pneumonia. Due to the presenter’s delicate health, clubs and even the Ceará Football Federation (FCF) organized a blood donation campaign for Alan.

Born in Senador Pompeu, in the interior of Ceará, Alan Neto began his career at the age of 15, on a radio station in Fortaleza. Throughout his career, the journalist was a columnist for Diário do Nordeste and was at O ​​Povo, where he wrote a daily column and ran the program Trem Bala, on Rádio O Povo/CBN and TV Ceará.

Catchphrases such as “Look at the finger of the Trem Bala”, “pass it on” and “thousand megaton bombs” are some examples of the mark left by the professional in Ceará journalism.
