Denounced by the Attorney General’s Office (PGR) and arrested this Thursday (9), Ronald Pereira and Robson ‘Peixe’ Fonseca fulfilled well-defined roles in the criminal organization that allegedly orchestrated the death of Marielle Franco in 2018, according to the report from the Federal police.

According to the investigations and Ronnie Lessa’s plea bargain, Ronald Paulo de Alves Pereira had “taken on the responsibility of obtaining information about Marielle Francisco da Silva’s routine”.

According to the PGR’s conclusions that supported the arrest orders, Ronald Pereira:

The arrest was ordered by the Minister of the Federal Supreme Court (STF) Alexandre de Moraes – GloboNews had access to the decision.

  1. followed Marielle Franco’s routes and schedules on March 6, 2018, a week before the crime;
  2. was close to the region where the shots were fired, in the center of Rio;
  3. informed the executors about Marielle’s schedule on the day of her death.

Ronald’s participation in Marielle’s “monitoring”, initially mentioned by Ronnie Lessa, was corroborated in the investigation by:

  • crossing signals from Radio Base Stations (ERBs);
  • telephone call records;
  • and mapping the movement of the accused.

“In addition, the aforementioned denounced was identified by Operation Intocables as one of the main militiamen of Rio das Pedras, having close ties with those co-denounced, so that in freedom, he will be able to return to acting in favor of the militias of Rio de Janeiro and carrying out crimes”, says Moraes in the document.

‘Peixe’ managed contacts and business

Still according to Moraes’ decision, the PF did not identify the direct participation of Robson “Peixe” Calixto Fonseca in Marielle’s death – he was not even charged with the crime of homicide.

According to investigations, he “is part of the criminal organization involved in the events, alongside Domingos Inácio Brazão and João Francisco Inácio Brazão.”

In the group, he would be responsible for making contacts with Rio das Pedras militiamen and for managing the criminal organization’s irregular real estate deals.

“Robson Calixto Fonseca is very close to the accused Domingos Inácio Brazão and João Francisco Inácio Brazão, and there are indications that, even after the steps determined with the presentation of the police report, the defendant continues to act in favor of the accused, which extends , as highlighted by the Attorney General’s Office, to the management of spurious business with militiamen from the State of Rio de Janeiro”, says Moraes.
