Have you ever found yourself in the situation of wanting to send the same video message to several people on WhatsApp and having to record the same message individually for each one? The new WhatsApp update promises to simplify this task with a long-awaited new feature.

The feature will allow users to forward a video message to up to five contacts at once. This represents a significant improvement in terms of convenience and efficiency in communication.

Video messages work similarly to voice messages. The recorded video is available in a round format in the conversation, as a kind of real-time recording.

This functionality lasts for a maximum of 60 seconds and can be recorded by both the front and rear cameras of the device.

But what changes with the new button for video messages on WhatsApp?

WhatsApp users will now find an arrow button next to video messages, which allows them to select multiple recipients for sending. This new feature is being gradually distributed via messenger.

If the arrow does not appear, simply hold down on the video, press “Forward” and select the five desired contacts to receive the recording.

This update aims to expand the types of content that can be forwarded, aligning videos with the ease already present in forwarding texts, photos and other types of media.

Previously, you had to record the same video message individually for each contact, a process that could be tedious and time-consuming. Now, with this feature, it is more practical to forward the message.

However, what are the implications for using this feature?

Despite the convenience, the application imposes a limitation: the user who receives the video content will not be able to forward it to other people. In other words, only the creator of the message can forward it.

This measure aims to protect the privacy of the video author, preventing the content from spreading uncontrollably across multiple conversations.
