It will be very difficult for any fan to get close to Madonna at the Copacabana Palace. This is because the most famous hotel in Rio de Janeiro has created a special scheme to preserve the privacy of the artist, who will perform next Saturday (4), on the beach.
Hoardings were placed to cover the pool so that no one could record images of the queen of pop. From Chopin, the building next door, it is no longer possible to have a complete view of the leisure space.
Furthermore, the singer and her team have around 90 rooms out of the 239 available, and access has been completely restricted to new guests. Meanwhile, fans gather at the hotel door to try to see a wave from the artist.
Only professional team members and hotel employees circulate around the premises. Copacabana Palace restaurants are also closed to visitors.
Madonna brought four of her six children with her. They are David, Mercy, Stell and Stere.
The singer is staying in the hotel’s most expensive suite. The Penthouse Suite Ocean View, or penthouse suite with views of the ocean, faces the beach that will host the singer’s open show and, in total, is 104 m², the size of a comfortable three-bedroom apartment. The suite, however, has a single king bed and accommodates a maximum of two people.
Staying in the same room as the singer, of course, isn’t cheap. The price to spend two nights on the roof is around R$42,000, and Madonna, who arrived in Brazil this Monday (29), must spend at least six days at the hotel, until the show next Saturday.
