The Munich team did not have the strength to fight with Bayer Leverkusen and saw the end of an 11-year hegemony in the German Championship. It was also eliminated early in the German Cup and has already announced that it will not retain coach Thomas Tuchel for 2024/25.
Real, in turn, agreed a new contract with Carlo Ancelotti and are already well on their way to winning the Spanish title. Depending on what happens over the La Liga weekend, they could even scream champion on Saturday, when they host Cádiz.
