Billionaire George Soros, known for financing, through his foundation, the Open Society, several progressive movements around the world, is also behind the protests against Israel that are being promoted by radical students at US universities, according to information revealed this Friday- fair (26) by the American newspaper New York Post.

According to the matter of New York Post, The protests, which began with an occupation by pro-Palestinian students of the Columbia University campus in New York last week and have spread across the country, are mostly being organized by the group known as “Students for Justice in Palestine (SJP)”, which, according to the newspaper, is heavily financed by Soros.

As the newspaper pointed out, at three universities the protests are being encouraged by radical SJP students who receive a grant from an NGO also financed by Soros known as the “US Campaign for Palestinian Rights (USCPR)”. This NGO, according to the information, pays around US$7,800 to its scholarship holders and between US$2,800 and US$3,600 more so that scholarship holders on university campuses dedicate eight hours of their time per week organizing “campaigns led by Palestinian organizations”.

“They are trained to rise up, for revolution”, says the information from the NYP.

Soros’s Open Society has allocated around US$300,000 in funding to the NGO USCPR since 2017, the report said. New York Post. The NGO has also received support totaling US$355,000 from the Rockefeller Brothers Fund since 2019.

O NYP mentioned in the article that half of the protesters who are at universities promoting the protests and have been arrested in recent days are not actually students, but rather “professional agitators” who are affiliated with USCPR.

SJP and another radical organization, called Jewish Voice for Peace (JVP), were banned from Columbia University at the end of last year, after holding violent demonstrations there. The university claimed that it banned the organizations because they had “threatening rhetoric”.

With the resurgence of protests, which the NYP says they are being promoted again by SJP, it is possible to infer that individuals who are no longer part of Columbia University continue to have access to the place.
