The sequence ‘Godzilla vs. Kong: The New Empire‘ managed to surpass the impressive mark of US$500 million at the global box office. The film surpassed the total collection of ‘Kung Fu Panda 4‘ ($480.3M), becoming the second highest-grossing film globally of the year.
With the success, the Hollywood Reporter reveals that Warner Bros. and Legendary are already developing a sequel – which should be led again by Adam Wingard.
Wingard drove ‘Godzilla vs Kong‘ and its sequel.
The Monsterverse franchise has already had the films ‘Godzilla‘ (2014), ‘Kong: Skull Island‘ (2017), ‘Godzilla II: King of the Monsters‘ (2019) and ‘Godzilla vs Kong‘ (2021).
Further details about the project were not revealed.
