Fear Street: Prom Queen is now in development!

Fear Street: Prom Queenthe next film in the franchise Street of Fear, is officially in production. The announcement was made by Netflix itself on its social networks, and came with a teaser showing some of the cast and behind-the-scenes of the project.

On X (formerly Twitter), Netflix Brasil wrote: “Students at Shadyside High have no idea what’s to come Fear Street: Prom Queen, my new film in the Fear Street franchise, is now in production.”

Called Fear Street: Prom Queen in English (Rua do Medo: Queen of the Ballin free translation), the film is based on the plot of the book A Prom queenby RL Stine, which was released in 1992.

The official description says: “Prom season at Shadyside High has begun, and the school’s gaggle of It Girls are busy with their usual sweet and terrifying campaigns for the crown. But when a brave stranger is unexpectedly appointed to the court and other girls begin mysteriously disappearing, the Class of ’88 must prepare for a prom night to remember.”

The fourth film in the franchise Street of Fear does not yet have a scheduled release date.
