“I saw him walking towards me”: Ryan Gosling’s new action film received acclaim from Steven Spielberg – Cinema News

The feature film hits Brazilian cinemas on May 2nd.

Ryan Gosling’s long-awaited next feature film, The Stuntman It’s already giving something to talk about. In it, we follow the story of a man who had to abandon his life of dangerous stunts, directed by David Leitch and also starring Emily Blunt.

During a recent interview with Variety, Gosling revealed that he had received praise from Steven Spielberg, which occurred during a meeting with the filmmaker at the Golden Globes ceremony. According to the actor, Spielberg would have really liked The Stuntman, producing the following words:

“I saw Steven Spielberg walking towards me. I don’t know Steven Spielberg. I thought there was no way he could come and talk to me (…) I say: ‘I’m sorry, I didn’t think you would come and talk to me’. And I got up and he gave me a hug and said, ‘I just saw The Stuntman and I loved it.’”

For those who don’t know, The Fall Guy (in the original) is a mix of action and comedy based on the series Duro na Queda, a hit from the 1980s. The plot follows Colt Seavers, a Hollywood stuntman who had to abandon his life of dangerous stunts after suffer an accident. Some time later, he is called back to work on a film directed by his ex, but this invitation is full of mysteries.

Close to arriving in Brazilian cinemas, the film also features names like Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Hannah Waddingham and Teresa Palmer.
